It's Beat Kidz!
A newscast for mature children only.
It's a cute newscast.
Earliest KTSF newscast.
Whoa! KMTV used "3 For All"?
KCCI news update, this is definitely earlier than 1990.
That "3 for All" sounds like it's unrelated to the Klein& campaign.
It honestly doesn't sound like a TV jingle at all...egads.
Yeah, sounds more like a parade march. I do hope that bigO playbax uploads more Omaha stuff, that's one of many markets with such rarities.
Anyway here's what they were using at KMTV back in 1982. Gotta love how the news open syncs up with "Production Music: Energy".
As long as we're down that path, here's the image music the theme is based on (dates to the late 80s)
And a longer version of the news open - one of the underrated themes in Norcal from the 80s (this one, KNTV, KCRA among them)
Plus, here's a KICU ID that's basically the KPRC 80s news open almost in the clear - from 1988
I feel like SoCal, so here's some SoCal...
A full KABC newscast from November 1992:
And a short KFMB segment on, of all things, yellow jackets with the late Loren Nancarrow in 1994:
WRTV 40 years together. 1989
A chunk of WJLA's morning news from September 1995, cued up to the close (in the final days of the 1992 music package)...
Next up from bigO playbax- a KETV Newswatch 7 promo (with News People)! Anchors include KTXL's Ted Mullins, WTLV's Marcia Ladendorff, Charlie Martin (Levy) of TWC doing weather, and Boise's Wayne Dzubak on sports.
Did ya see the old internet machine* that reporter was poking at his desk? It was next to the white object that looked like a hair dryer with numbers on the little wheel*.
And did ya see that map on the wall? They say people used to "read" those maps and go places.
*Typewriter made letters on paper
*Dial Telephone...too complicated to explain tom you kids
An audio clip of the news image from WCKT (WSVN)
Two WNJU news briefs from September 1995. The bed in the second one is Global Plan by DeWolfe IIRC (it was used by Canal 13/Chile as well):
Speaking of which, here's WTTG using the beginning of the News Image close to introduce it's Metromedia Moive Club back in 1985:
Also the beginning of the video is the intro to the WBFF movie from that same day, introduced on-screen by some old guy who may or may not have been a friend of Nixon or Reagan!
Here's a 1983 WTVH newsbreak with an unknown theme. Their graphics look like the same ones from the 1970s, hence the old "5" logo (Meredith made the "5"s less round by the early 80s) and what looks like Dolphin Productions graphics.
Easy, that's the tail end of Production Music: Industrial Power, better known as the theme of Independent Network News from 1980-1984.
23 minutes of WGN News in 1994:
Going back on that WTVH brief, a news open from that period appears in this video here around 0:36.
