"The Daily Show" Refreshes Graphics

Recommended Posts

May sweeps means it's time to roll out the changes, and Comedy Central's "The Daily Show" is no exception. The show recently jumped on the bandwagon and premiered an updated graphics package. Compared to the previous blue and orange graphics, the new package appears "flatter" than the last, uses shades of blue and almost appears to be an update of the minimalist red, white, and blue graphics package that were replaced in 2007, when the show premiered their current set and previous graphics package.

You can see the graphic updates on their website.

Actually this doesn't rely on Century Gothic, but an actual font - Avant Garde.

Eh, Century Gothic is the Microsoft knockoff of Avant Garde. And yes, this is a desperate attempt to heal my now-damaged typeface spotting prowess...

But still, it's an ugly typeface for TV.
