Good! Hopefully some investment will be made in this property! They really need it.

I myself wonder if Gray will reconsider the studio location. Right now KOSA takes up part of a wing of the Music City Mall in Odessa (that's right, a full-blown TV station in a shopping mall!).

It seems lately that Gray's business model is to purchase every table scrap left after Sinclair and Nexstar feasted on the bird.

There seem to be a lot of small local owners that are selling to Gray of late. They are an attractive owner for certain local owners that realize they can no longer compete effectively with the scale demands of local TV.

This deal makes sense for Gray. Coincidentally, KOSA was once owned by Benedek, so this will reunite KOSA with most of its former sister stations when it was owned by that company.

Looks as if it's the end of the road for the so-called CBS 2002 Affiliate Package. :( jk

Speaking of Benedek, I wonder if Gray will eventually end up with KAUZ Wichita Falls (currently under the control of KSWO). It is the last station license held by Hoak since their sale of most of their stations to Gray.

It a huge opportunity of KOSA-TV, so that's very good news for them. Off the record on the other two stations, do you picture KMID and KAUZ a Gannett/Tegna station?

Or how about KWES 9 as a Gannett/Tegna station ?

The more likely event would be Tegna buying Drewry, which includes KSWO and KWES, as well as KFDA (Amarillo) and KXXV/KRHD (Bryan/College Station, sale would be required). Drewry almost sold to London in 2008.

Gannett/Tegna now owns KCEN, so they can't get KXXV/KRHD.
