Nelson was formerly the anchor of ABC World News Now (the overnight show) before he was promoted last spring to be a correspondent for all ABC platforms.

Based on what I've seen in the past, he's down to earth and has a great sense of humor.  I bet he will work well with Michelle.  He had a huge following on WNN.

Good choice. Rob thrived in the overnight role, and that should suit him well on the weekend mornings.

Will he also be a reporter during the week, like Lipof was?

Yes.  He's been hired as weekend morning co-anchor and reporter.

He's going to be a perfect fit for Eyewitness News on the Weekends.  I liked him on WNN and I know he's going to do great with Michelle and Amy.  EWN does it again!

Rob is very good, but nothing will replace Phil's movie star looks and top-notch wardrobe.
