A little more than 13 months ago, we were telling you about how WTVR in Richmond, Virginia had a new set.

Well, they have a new one. Again. Sometime near the end of July, the station moved newscasts back into the newsroom, demolishing the set that had been constructed only a year prior.

The new set, designed by FX Group, is definately a step up from the previous, dark set. The new set features brighter woods with orange and blue duratrans and several monitors (though, unfortunately, there are no more monitors behind the anchors). You can see the set in action in this video. The set shares a number of elements seen on other FX Group sets installed this year.

Thanks to tw-804 for the tip!

No problem. I was wondering who designed the set.

I like this set as much as the last. Speaking of the last, tem tell you a story. I was in Virginia visiting mt dad back in the Spring. Back then, I never heard of WTVR or any of the other stations. When I saw the last set, I immediately fell in love with it. The monitors, the desks, the background and the setup. I had been hooked on it and its newscasts. Its sad though that the station got rid of it though.
